I’m using playit.gg to try and start a terraria server but everytime I try to connect to the server or one of my friends try and connect to the server it gets stuck on the “Found server” screen in terraria. I’ve made sure to hose the server on my desktop through TerrariaServer.exe but still no luck. I am using the normal TerrariaServer.exe and I’m not using tShock or anything. Do I have to use tShock in order to run the server?
Do you have any more information than just that? Is your playit.gg settings on here pointing to the correct ip and port? Is the TerrariaServer port the same? Are your firewall settings allowing TerrariaServer to be exposed to playit.gg services.
Tbh I just would just use docker to put them all into a docker-compose file then you don’t have to deal with any of these issues. Here is a quick docker-compose.yaml if you are interested. I haven’t tested it myself. I just got chatgpt to make this up for me. To start it you’ll have to use docker-compose docker-compose.yaml -f up. If you want more info about what you can do just ask chatgpt. It’s a wiz for docker.
To get the secret-key. Just start a new agent(delete your old one if need be) there you can choose docker as an option.
