Traffic limits?

I’m currently planning on using playit.gg to act as a tunnel for a small media / file server used by my friends and family, alongside video games. I wanted to know if this was an acceptable use case for playit.gg. If not, I totally get that and will discontinue my subscription.

We have no set limits, but if your bandwidth usage is crazy high I may reach out directly.

I suppose I’d like to ask what “crazy high” is by your standards.

Last I checked we had a free user consuming about 1-2 TB per day. Looked temporary so didn’t bother contacting. I should probably have another look…. If enough people were doing that I’d probably need to contact or set policies.

Basically if I don’t notice our cost meaningfully increase due to the activity of a few users it’s not much of a concern. Granted that could change. As we get bigger our effective cost for bandwidth goes down so hopefully it doesn’t need to change.

If you’re in North America or Europe id say it’s really doubtful I’d notice. Our costs for bandwidth are much higher in other regions so if you were for instance in Australia pulling 100GB+/day consistently, I’d probably contact you.

I think I’ll be moving about 300 gigabytes of traffic a week across my tunnels at most, and I’m in the US. I’m also paying for my tunnels, since playit’s model had the fairest pricing and easiest setup. Figured I’d give back.

Just want to mind my limits and not abuse the service! Y’all run a tight ship and I appreciate it. Thanks for the detailed answer.
