Subject: Minecraft server times out through Playit.gg – TCP forwarding works, but no Minecraft connection

Hello Playit Support,

I need help with a persistent connection issue using Playit.gg.

My Minecraft server works perfectly on localhost and LAN. Another computer can fully join and play on the server using its local IP address.

However, when players connect through Playit.gg, the server stays on “Pinging…” or “Connecting to server” and eventually times out.

My setup:

  • Public address: crispy.playit.plus:25565

  • Local IP: 127.0.0.1

  • Local port: 25565

  • Minecraft Java 26.3

  • Fabric Loader 0.20.1

  • Windows 11

  • Playit versions tested: 1.0.10 and 0.17.1

Errors found in my Playit logs:

control session expired; reconnecting reason=SessionNotSetup

failed to ping tunnel server

NetworkUnreachable
addr=[2602:fbaf:840::1]:5525

timeout waiting for pong

Playit recognizes incoming connections:

tcp_clients: New TCP Client

Windows also confirms that Playit establishes TCP connections to my Minecraft server:

LocalAddress: 127.0.0.1
LocalPort: 25565
RemoteAddress: 127.159.203.227
State: Established

However, the Minecraft client still times out, and the server sometimes reports:

MixeryFuFi lost connection: Disconnected

Things I have already tried:

  • New Playit tunnel

  • New Playit agent

  • Playit 1.0.10 and 0.17.1

  • Running Playit on two different computers

  • Different internet connection using a mobile hotspot

  • Windows Firewall rules

  • IPv4 settings

  • Fresh Minecraft server without additional mods

  • Confirmed that LAN multiplayer works perfectly

  • Verified the local IP and port

  • Restarted Playit and Minecraft multiple times

Nothing has fixed the issue.

Could you please investigate whether there is a problem with the Playit relay, TCP data forwarding, or my agent’s connection to your servers?

The TCP connection reaches Minecraft, but the Minecraft status response or login does not complete.

Please let me know what additional diagnostics you need.

Thank you!
