Having a bit of trouble with getting a tunnel to work with Runescape: Dragonwilds. The dedicated server is working fine. When I port forward the game server port on my router, players can connect to the server using the public server browser. But when using a tunnel, players can only connect using the ip address of the tunnel in the ‘direct’ tab in game. When players try connecting using the public server browser, they get to the character select, and when pressing the enter world button they get a network connection refused error. After doing a few hours of troubleshooting and testing, I have found that it is a tunnel related issue with the ‘EOS handshake’. I’m not 100% sure if it is a playit.gg tunnel issue, but at the moment using the tunnel is what causes the error. Just looking to see if anyone else has had this issue, or if I am configuring something wrong. Happy to answer any questions, and show what I did during troubleshooting.

im in the same boat, only works if you provide direct ip and port number.
I have found out some more information and it’s not necessarily a playit issue. The dragonwilds server pings the epic online servers to get your local external ip address. This means that the server browser offers up your local ip rather than the tunnels. When connecting using the server browser it tries to connect using the wrong ip and then will time out on trying to connect because port on router is not open. The only work around I have found is to use wireguard and a vps to route both inbound and outbound traffic through wireguard to the vps.

how is the ping and latency through those services?
