I’m running a couple game servers with Amp on a Debian container and using Playit to connect to them. It was working just a couple days ago with Minecraft, and tonight I tried connecting to my Valheim installation but couldn’t.
”playit attach” showed repeated timeouts, and the playitgg website showed the agent offline. I tried everything I could think of before reinstalling playit completely with “apt purge playit” and then “curl -fsSL https://packages.playit.gg/install.sh | bash”.
Then I went through the process of claiming a new agent and had an issue again. After entering the claim link and accepting the location, it can’t connect in the “Agent Setup” and says the agent is offline. Back on the server, “playit status” says it’s starting and “playit attach” opens the panel briefly but only says “The playit service is starting…” and then closing and saying “Connection to the playit service was lost: IO error: Connection closed. Run “playit attach” to reconnect.” Also, stopping and then starting playit, it says that playit is already running?
I really hope that all made sense. Maybe this will resolve on its own? Any tips would be amazing.
I’m having the same problem. I can’t get my agent to connect after entering the claim code. Tried looking through logs and I keep seeing [WARN] maintained_control: control session expired; reconnecting, reason=SessionNotSetup. It seems to grab my IP request but isn’t maintaining a session to playit. Is this a recent issue? I deleted my agent recently and recreated it because the datacenter wouldn’t change and now I can’t connect to the tunnel.
It was working a few hours ago. It wasn’t until I removed the agent and tried to re-add it that I can’t get it to connect again. I thought maybe my key was still saved from my session but I’ve purged and deleted the toml file just like you did and I’m still not able to get the agent to go online.
