I’m trying to make my DayZ server, which is hosted on my second PC, public. Apparently, for this to work, I need the port that the tunnel generates to be 2302. The problem is that PlayIt generates random ports, and even though I’m a premium user, I can’t choose the port. Is there any way to get around this?
You shouldn’t need control over the public port, most games allow you to set the server port in their configurations.
We don’t have an official guide yet for DayZ but I’ll share this with the team to see if they can get one out soon for you.
I would be very grateful. Yes, I can change the DayZ port through the settings, but if I do that, the server won’t appear in the community tab, meaning it won’t be visible to everyone, only to those with the IP address, and that’s not very good for promotion.
Gotcha. Yeah playit doesn’t have good support for public server listing. If that does work for you and you purchased Playit Premium feel free to contact [email protected] for a refund.
I have some plans to add support but no ETA. It’s a tricky problem. For most games you need to be able to contact the server listing API with the same IP that’s used for the public server address. Doing this in a safe way that avoids turning Playit into a VPN service is tricky.
I have a similar Issue but for cs source, I’ve have tried the port, 27015, and the given port by playit. But I can’t connect to the server.
Also why Is germany not available? Im using TCP/UDP, It Is so limited still with premium
I managed to join the server, but I can’t have port 27015, or 27016 etc. Why can’t we choose ports, also Is there any better alternative to this.
