hello y’all. Is there a noticeable performance hit when using playit.gg, compared to just opening a port on my router and having people connect that way instead?

Yes there is a hit because all the traffic has to be sent through playit’s servers. If it is noticeable or not depends on how far you are from the closest server. (In my case, I get 20-30ms more ping when using playit instead of port forwarding.) Hence you need to test it out.
