Hi there. I have been setting up playit for a Minecraft Java server on Ubuntu and my tunnel never actually activates. Players can open a connection to my assigned address but nothing ever reaches the server process.
The agent connects fine and the dashboard shows it online, but the log loops forever with “control session expired; reconnecting reason=SessionNotSetup”. At startup the address selector fails on the IPv6 relay address handed to it by the routing API (Network unreachable) and then reports “failed to ping tunnel server”. My connection is IPv4 only, there is no IPv6 route at all.
The strange part is that the IPv4 relay is fully reachable. I captured packets with tcpdump and the agent sends UDP pings to 69.9.188.1 on port 5525 and gets responses back. So the network path works fine, the agent just never falls back from the IPv6 candidate to the IPv4 relays, and the session never completes.
This looks like the same issue as GitHub issue 194 (agent fails ipv6 and does not fall back to ipv4) and forum topic 5684. Both are still open.
Things I tried so far:
1. reinstalled the agent twice, same result
2. disabled IPv6 system wide with sysctl, no change
3. restarted the service many times
4. using agent version 1.0.10, the latest
Is there any way to force the agent to prefer IPv4 relays? Or is this a known server side issue? I am happy to provide full logs if that helps.
Thanks!
